Spirit Digital Ltd. Public Accessibility Statement for CliniTouch Vie (version 1.6.0)
CliniTouch Vie is a multi-functioning and intuitive digital health platform and remote patient monitoring system. It is intended to be downloaded by patients onto their personal mobile or computing devices to enable them to self-manage their condition(s) and treatments, with long-range review from healthcare professionals. The aim of CliniTouch Vie is to reduce emergency (unplanned) hospital admissions by preventing sudden exacerbation of a long-term condition. It does so by enabling patients and healthcare professionals to identify the earliest signs of deterioration in condition, so that preventative steps (such as increasing routine medication, starting rescue medications) can be taken to circumvent acute exacerbation.
Spirit Digital Ltd. are committed to providing a service which is accessible to a broad audience, regardless of technology or abilities. We strive to continually improve the accessibility and usability of this service and, in doing so, adhere to applicable international standards and guidelines.
Our service strives to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at a minimum “Double-A” (AA) rating. These guidelines, drawn up by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. We seek to ensure that our service is accessible to those people who may use assistive technology such as screen readers and speech-input software and those unable to use a mouse or a pointing device.
We, as a business, are aware of areas within our service which are not fully accessible (i.e; do not fully conform to ‘AA’ level WCAG 2.1) – these include:
- Some clickable controls should be keyboard accessible
- Some clickable controls should have an ARIA role
- Some links have underlining removed that makes it difficult for colour-blind users to see them
- Some image elements do not have an accessible name
- Some text and background colours do not have enough contrast
- Some User interface controls do not have a contrast ratio of at least 3:1 against adjacent colours
- Microsoft Edge
Mobile and tablet browsers
Browser updates are available free of charge from the different browser providers (Microsoft, Firefox, Apple and Google). We recommend that users of our service upgrade their browser versions whenever possible, as new versions are faster, have the latest security features and provide an improved browsing experience.
To ensure that our service continues to offer a high level of accessibility, we perform periodic accessibility audits using a range of testing tools to flag and address errors. Whist we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, rapid changes in technology mean it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. We are, however, continually seeking solutions to address accessibility issues.
If you would like to ask us a question or provide feedback on usability or accessibility, you can do so using our ‘contact us’ function – https://spirit-digital.co.uk/contact/
